The Basketball Federation continues to be very active in carrying out training activities for coaches, players and referees. Miguel Ángel Gómez, former president of the FBC, has taken charge of the training program for coaches and after the level 1 coach course held in November and December, together with the Andalusian Basketball Federation, he organizes this month of February, an initiation-level coach course for students who are studying the 2nd year of TAFAD. The course begins today, February 4 and ends on March 5 and classes will be taught in the afternoon on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The 17 enrolled students will have the opportunity to train in subjects such as team management, individual and collective technique, regulations and standards, among others, with local experts such as Miguel Ángel Gómez or Alicia Sánchez. Students who pass the theoretical part will have to carry out practices in the different technical groups controlled by the FBC.
The intention of the Federation is to carry out another public initiation level trainer course for those who want to do it, at the end of March. More details such as dates, venue, schedules and others will be released soon.
Regardless of the courses, the federation continues to hold training talks with its coaches. This weekend the second talk of the season will take place with the Aragonese coach José Muzas, who is one of those responsible for planning and the work to be carried out by the technification groups. Likewise, next Wednesday, February 10, José González Dantas, current coach in the Swiss first division, will be in charge of directing the next presentation.
On the other hand, the Basketball Federation will start next week a basketball school at IES Puertas del Campo for students from the center. The school will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and there are currently more than 50 students enrolled. The trainings, which will be directed by Borja Molinary and different technicians linked to the Federation, as well as students of the level 1 trainer course that took place in December who have to carry out the practices of said course. As with the school that has the FBC in the IES Abyla, the sessions will be carried out under the protocol and anti-covid regulations, with non-contact exercises, in which the improvement of coordination and gestural speed and the fundamentals will be worked on technical like the boat or the shot to the basket.
