EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO. – The Mayor’s Office of the National District, and the energy drink brand Gatorade delivered 7 basketball courts this Tuesday in order to contribute to the promotion of sports and community development in the city.

These interventions were carried out through the Pinta Mi Cancha program, which consists of the renovation of sports facilities under the custody of municipal governments, through the public-private partnership scheme, in this case with the full sponsorship of Gatorade.

Mayor Carolina Mejía said: “I want to give a big thank you to Gatorade; to the executives of Pinta Mi Cancha and to the team of our Mayor’s Office that collaborated with them. Undoubtedly, it is something wonderful that we can take care of and return for its best use this type of space for our young people and the community in general. I am very excited to be able to play and enjoy a good time after completing the inauguration of the 7 courts of the National District. “

The 7 fields that were delivered under the auspices of Gatorade are located in the National District: Los Girasoles; The rivers; Christ the King; Good Shepherd; and the next 3 located in Cayetano Germosén, Francisco García, kilometer 9 ½; San José, kilometer 7 ½ and the field located at kilometer 81/2.
