An unexpected problem arose in the UEFA Champions League, because this Thursday it was announced that Germany will not allow Liverpool enter the country to face the first leg for the round of 16 against RB Leipzig.
This situation is due to the fact that the German Federal Police rejected the special request presented by the Red Bulls team, since a football match is not considered a possible exception to the general rule that currently governs the coronavirus.
Recall that Germany is banned from entering any person who comes from a place with high Covid-19 infections. For this reason, England, one of the most affected countries in Europe, is part of this list to avoid the spread of the virus.
In this way, UEFA imposed a deadline until February 8 to regularize this situation. However, the following alternatives are being considered: that Liverpool agree to play first as a local and then as a visitor.

Another option is that RB Leipzig must change the location to a neutral location and bear all the costs that this means. Finally, that UEFA decree a defeat for the Germans by 0-3 and only dispute the rematch in Liverpool.
Let us remember that the round of 16 bracket between both teams is scheduled: the first leg for February 16, while the return for March 10.
