André Pierre Gignac, Tigres forward, added one more competition to his goalscoring record, which is 145 in odial competitions and it seems not to stop. The double that the Frenchman made against Ulsan Hyundai in the Club World Cup, meant increasing the legend of the European with the Monterrey team.

Gignac, top scorer in the club’s history, scored the goals that won the team led by Ricardo Ferretti to advance to the semifinals of the ‘Mundialito’ and now they will collide with Palmeiras, champion of the Copa Libertadores.
The Frenchman, who arrived in Mexico in 2015, has 145 goals in official competitions and he only has to score in the Leagues Cup and the Campeones Cup, where he has not been able to do so and they are the only tournaments in which he has any kind of debt.
Outside of that, he has added annotations in Liga MX, Copa MX, Copa Libertadores, Club World Cup and the Concacaf Champions League. In this last competition, he is the highest scorer in the club’s history with 14 goals.
It was even in this season that he rose as the top scorer in the competition in the area by passing January Valencia, who had 10 goals in that tournament. Gignac achieved the mark with against New York City in the quarterfinals of the 2020 edition.
Also, before passing through Tigres, Gignac already scored goals in the top European competitions, scoring in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. With Toulouse he scored his first goals in the Europa League and in the competition for the ‘Orejona’ he did it with Marseille.
