River Plate became this week the first Argentine club to apply vaccines against COVID-19 to independent healthcare professionals as part of the vaccination plan drawn up by the Government of Buenos Aires.
“I do territorial work in a vulnerable neighborhood. Being able to give me the vaccine is a joy and a privilege at this time in our country and in the world. Against this virus the only possibility is that we all take care of ourselves and we all get vaccinated as soon as possible”, the psychologist told Efe this Wednesday Laura Lueiro, that the Sputnik-V vaccine was applied in the facilities of River Plate.
The Government of the City will vaccinate in the first instance to “the personnel of public and private health, of the social security, university entities and of national dependency, residences of older adults and independent professionals”.
“I am happy to be vaccinated, I feel privileged. I am very excited. I believe that the only way to be able to go through this situation is for as many people as possible to be vaccinated,” added the psychologist María Rosa, who cried from the excitement at the River Plate Microstadium.
In the facilities of the Millionaire, only independent health personnel who live in Buenos Aires and who have valid registration can be vaccinated.
The psychoanalyst Marcelo trodigini believed that the vaccination process was going to be “cumbersome” or have a “long delay”, but said that eventually “It was quite agile.”
“It is a step forward,” he assured Efe.
The only vaccine currently being administered in the country is the Sputnik-V, prepared by the Russian state institute Gamaleya, from which 410,000 of the first component and 410,000 of the second have come.
In total, the Government estimates that it will have more than 50 million doses of various vaccines in the coming months, in a country with around 45 million inhabitants.
