The Mexican striker, Erick torres will continue his career as a footballer with Atlanta United, since the whole of the MLS announced that the Cube signed a new contract to play and, incidentally, help youth from the quarry with their experience.
Through a statement, the Atlanta confirmed that the striker from Guadalajara remains in the MLSAlthough he did not have a 2020 as expected, however, the plus will be that he will work with players and staff of the club’s Academy.
“The Cube has been a positive influence on our organization and we are glad that he signed again with the club, “he said Carlos Bocanegra, Vice President and Sports Director of Atlanta United.
“While bringing competition to our group of forwards, he is a veteran who understands the league and has shown a willingness to be a mentor to our young players“, detailed the club.
Torres signed in July 2020 with the Atlanta, played 13 games, gave an assist and scored 1 goal. Also le affected a knee injury that took him away from the courts for a month.
The goal he scored in 2020 was in October against Orlando City, while the assistance was in his debut against Nashville in August.
Torres already has experience in MLS, where he has worn the shirts of the Atlanta United, Chivas USA and from Houston Dynamo and was at the time the top Mexican scorer of the United States League.
