The mayor of La Matanza, Fernando Espinoza, whose municipality provided transport, food and all the logistics necessary for the operation of the colonies, participated in the closing of the season at the Alberto Balestrini Sports Center, located in Lomas del Mirador, one of the the properties where the recreational and pedagogical activities were carried out, in which 10,000 boys and girls participated.
“We are very happy with the development of the colonies because in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic we made the decision to carry out the colonies with all the appropriate care and protocols, and it was the best decision,” said Espinoza, who added : “We work every day so that the little ones can have a dignified and happy future. They and they are the future of Argentina, and we are not going to fail them ”.
The official stressed that there was no contagion among the 10,000 participating boys and girls or among the teachers who participated in the initiative. “We comply with all protocols, care, sanitation and we put all the logistics and structure of the municipality at the disposal of the girls and boys, celebrated Espinoza, who specified that the transfer to the colonies was carried out in bubbles of fifteen boys per bus, with three teachers for every fifteen settlers and a lifeguard “.
“These colonies were not only sports and cultural colonies, but this time they were also colonies where we generated didactic actions so that the boys get used to the beginning of classes again,” said the community chief, who added: ” colonies but the happiness of the boys is forever ”.
Espinoza also celebrated the “first-rate” facilities where the activities took place, including those of the Alberto Balestrini Sports Center: “Each activity gives (the settlers) encouragement and expectations of being able to overcome themselves in life. Seeing a top-level athletics track like the one at this Sports Center -which is among the three best tracks in Argentina- motivates many kids to start running, to set goals and objectives or to go swimming when they see the swimming pool. Every possibility (…) allows them to improve themselves through education, sacrifice and effort ”.
Later, Espinoza hoped that the participants from the colonies would continue studying at the National University of La Matanza. He announced that “very soon” the doors of the new university headquarters in González Catán will open. “That is Peronism, upward social mobility,” said the communal chief.
After thanking the doctors, the doctors, the cultural personnel, all the sports personnel, the professors and the teachers who made possible “this beautiful vacation colony in La Matanza”, he repeated that “La Matanza is not It is great, it is great and it is because it has young people who give us the strength of a great collective consciousness of unity and happiness. As mayor, there is nothing that fills my soul and heart more than to see joy and happiness in a smile of the boys in these vacation camps ”.
In another order, the leader announced that the municipality is ready to begin the third stage of vaccination against the coronavirus: “We are going to take the vaccination to each of the cities. We are not going to wait for people to come to the hospitals, we are going to go out with operations in each city and in each neighborhood ”.
“We know that the pandemic has not ended and that we must continue to take care of ourselves,” added Espinoza, who urged his fellow citizens to register on the website www.vacunatepba.gba.gob.ar, which the province of Buenos Aires has put at the service of Buenos Aires residents. to complete the free vaccination campaign underway.
After thanking “the great collaboration that the supportive youth of La Matanza is providing”, he concluded that “in the holiday camps we managed to transmit and bring joy to the girls and boys with all the necessary care. Let us continue to take care of each other to continue doing more dreams come true ”.
