“I am dented.” The phrase is from Diego Maradona. It is part of the last video that was known of the Argentine star, who died in November. The record was captured while performing the postoperative surgery to which he had undergone to extract a subdural hematoma.
The words of Diez, who is accompanied by his ex-partner Verónica Ojeda, are addressed to his doctor, Leopoldo Luque, who today is being investigated by the Argentine justice for the alleged wrongful death of the former captain of the Argentine team. “Hello Luque. I’m dented, but everything is fine. You know I don’t like intimacy. And, well, when I’m with good people I come out of my den. A kiss, Luque. Leopoldo Jacinto Luque ”, he tells him, while eating at the farm he occupied during rehabilitation.
Over the weekend another record had become known, that of the conversation between Luque and Agustina Cosachov, the psychiatrist who treated Maradona. In that audio, after the death of the former Napoli player, the neurosurgeon tries to calm Cosachov. “This is so, it is so. He is a complex and good patient, whatever has to happen will happen. We are going to be there to bank the one that comes ”, he says.
However, the most controversial phrase would come later. “It seems that he did a cardiorespiratory arrest and is going to shit dying the fat man. No idea what he did. I’m going there, ”he said. And concluded: “It looks like he’s dead, he’s really dead”.
