The National League of American Football (NFL) offered this Saturday transform each of the 30 stadiums where the league is played into mass vaccination centers against him COVID-19.
The commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell, made the offer in a letter sent to President of the United States, Joe Biden, as reported by the AFP agency.
“The NFL and our 32 member clubs are committed to doing our part to ensure that vaccines are as accessible as possible in our communities,” Goodell wrote in the letter.

“To that end, each NFL team will make its stadium available for mass vaccination of the public generally in coordination with local, state and federal health officials, “added the commissioner.
Seven NFL teams (Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots) have already made their stadiums available as vaccination sites.
“We are able to expand our efforts to stadiums across the country more effectively because many of our clubs have previously offered their facilities as COVID testing centers, as well as election sites in recent months,” added Goodell.
The NFL offer comes before Sunday’s Super Bowl in Tampa, where Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs and Tom Brady’s Buccaneers will face off. The duel will feature 7,500 front-line health workers vaccinated against the coronavirus, who will attend as guests of the league in recognition of their work during the pandemic.
