(EFE) – A goal in extra time by Scott McTominey ended West Ham’s resistance and gave Manchester United the victory and qualification (1-0) for the quarterfinals of the English Cup.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, who shot rotations, including in goal with Dean Henderson instead of Spaniard David De Gea, was unable to beat David Moyes’s team at Old Trafford in ninety minutes. He was unclear in attack for much of the crash.

The entry to the field of McTominey, instead of Nemanja Matic in 73, of Bruno Fernandes for Donny Van de Beek and of Uruguayan Edinson Cavani for Mason Greenwood gave United more depth, which will play with Real Sociedad in the round of 32 of the League Europe.
The goal came in extra time when a ball left by Marcus Rashford was well defined by McTominey who beat Lukasz Fabianski of Poland.
Manchester United is joined by Bournemouth, sixth-ranked in the Championships (second division), en route to the quarterfinals. The team trained by Jonathan Woodgate, eliminated Burnley, from the Premier, by winning (0-2) at the Turf Moor stadium with goals from Sam Surridge and Junior Stanislas, from penalties.
