“To me, since mid-January a sister who lives there told me that we could get vaccinated now, but the truth was I wasn’t sure, but now that I saw that the vaccine could take longer in Mexico, I decided to get it there,” he said, adding which was just last week when he received the first of two doses against the new coronavirus.
Geographically located between the border with Arizona, in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, there are many local residents who are born in the United States or at least with permission to live and work legally on that side, so they could choose to be vaccinated in said country, even before what the national vaccination scheme in Mexico indicates.
This is due to the fact that for weeks in the United States there has been greater promotion for the application of the vaccine, not only to health personnel, but also to the most advanced age ranges.
