Millionaires: analysis of victory against Pereira positive and negative aspects in Liga Betplay 2021 | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League | Football24 News English

Millonarios got their third victory in the BetPlay 2021 League this Sunday, after beating Deportivo Pereira in El Campín by a tight 3-2 result.

Despite reaching 21 rounds without knowing defeat, those of Alberto Gamero showed aspects that generate concern in defensive matters. For this reason, we show you an analysis of the positive and negative aspects of the albiazul team on the fifth day of the FPC.

To highlight

Guarín, starter and goal: Little by little the brand new recruitment of the team begins to pick up the pace of competition. His process on a physical level has stood out and precisely for the duel with Pereira he started, for the first time at the club, from the beginning. He responded by dialing at seven minutes.

Uribe and Arango continue to mark: The first scored a great goal in the first clearing he had and the second took five minutes, from his entry from the substitute bench, to sentence the game. Both have two conquests so far in the League.

Offensive variants: Throughout the 90 minutes, Millonarios violated the rival in various ways: Collective play, width on the sides and deep balls. In offensive matters it has endless variants, an aspect that allowed it to generate 14 options.

Interesting replacement: Unlike last semester, Alberto Gamero has interesting stimulants depending on what you need. When he had to search, he reached for Salazar and Arango; when he wanted to defend, he appealed to Kliver and Paz.

To improve

Effectiveness in attack: Although Millonarios generated many options and scored three goals, he was able to score much more. In the second half he wasted three very clear heads up, Pereira grew up and almost lost the three points.

Deconcentration: When the game was 2-0 in favor, the ambassadors were able to go on long but at times it seemed that the game was left over. The visit did not offer much resistance and the team relaxed completely. So much so that the first 15 minutes of the second part were a solo from the team from Matecaña. It took a draw (2-2) for them to react.

Defensive strength: It’s curious; Against Once Caldas the defensive work was not seen at all, against Medellín the central defense did a perfect job and now against Pereira they suffered again, despite the fact that the goals came from isolated plays. Gamero must urgently work on these intermittences.
