A few days after starting the Spring Training in the Big leagues, the MLB office is finishing reviewing a schedule for the Grapefruit League, the league that is made each preseason, in which the teams will face each other by zones in the east and west of Florida.
The teams in the west zone would have a total of 28 preparation games, while those in the east zone would have only 24; teams in the east zone will have to play intersquare games to complete their schedule.
MLB in process of finalizing revised Grapefruit League schedule, placing teams in separate “pods” on east and west coasts of Florida, sources tell me and @MattGelb. West-coast teams in FL will play 28 games and east-coast teams 24, making up rest with intrasquad-type matchups.

Each team will be responsible for the sale of tickets for their games as well as making the necessary adjustments in case the schedule has to be adjusted.
The Grapefruit League It’s just one of the two leagues in which MLB is divided to do preseason. Interestingly, the report does not mention anything about a respective adjustment in the Cactus League, which plays out with other teams in Arizona.
Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to begin reporting to training camps on February 16-17. The exhibition games are scheduled to begin on the 27th of the same month and the season will begin on April 1.
