The NBA announced Tuesday that league players will have to start wearing model masks KN95 o KF94 in all cases where its use is necessary.
The new measure taken by the NBA, which will come into force at starting next week, is related to the league’s policy of strengthening the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The league is expected to complete the process of handing over the masks to the 30 teams in the league. NBA before they dictate its mandatory use for all players and staff working with them within each organization.

Per league Health and Safety Protocols, whenever players, coaches or staff members are required to wear them, even while sitting on the bench during matches, they will now be required to wear the masks KN95 o KF94.
Players can sit alone in a “cool down” area immediately after leaving the field to catch their breath, but once they do, they are supposed to return to the bench area and wear a mask.
This is just one of several modifications that the NBA has made in recent weeks to adjust its protocols and keep the season running, while there are still more than 100,000 new cases of the covid-19 per day in the country, according to the data tracker of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the league has had to postpone 23 games.
Others include prevent players from having guests in their hotel rooms when on tour, as well as limiting interactions with each other on the pitch before and after games.
