George, who was one of the players who came out most frustrated from the loss to the Nets because of the treatment given by the referees, he claimed 36 points, including eight 3-pointers from nine attempts, six assists and four rebounds.
The Clippers star forward said what happened the night before served as an inspiration for the game against the Cavaliers.
“I think what we experienced against the Nets helped us all to realize that we had to fight even harder when it came to getting the big wins we need to stay ahead in the fight to end up with the best brand, “said George.
George’s scoring inspiration allowed the Clippers (17-6) to get back on the winning track and be the first team in the League to reach 17 wins.
The Clippers began the journey without their two All-Stars, as both George and forward Kawhi Leonard were discharged by covid-19 protocols and lost the first two games to the Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat.

The Clippers made 20 triples to avoid two losses in a row for the first time this season. It is the only team in the league that has not lost two games in a row.
The eaves Kawhi Leonard added 24 points, six rebounds and three assists, while the reserve guard Lou Williams added 15 points.
