The Golden State Warriors faced the Dallas Mavericks in one of the best Thursday night matches in the NBA, as it was the duel between two of the best guards in the league. Stephen Curry, who is finally recovered from his injuries, face to face with Luka Doncic, the man of the records.
In addition to what the game attracted from the last names, it turned out to be fundamental for the qualifications to the playoffs. Both the Warrios and Mavericks entered the game outside of the top eight in the Western Conference, so a victory or defeat, being a direct rival, could change things a lot.
The game began the first quarter with practically no defenses. As was usual throughout the season, the two teams were loose on the side to avoid points, although very effective when it came to scoring them. The 36-34 at the end of the first 12 minutes in favor of the visit are proof of this.
The Mavericks adjusted a few things and hit a high in the second quarter (66-59), taking the first half 110-95. However, Golden State Warriors returned to the charge and for everything in the second half and, in the third quarter, they put in a partial of 36-20. Too much difference, Stephen Curry and company took the game 147-116.
Stephen Curry also scored more than Luka Doncic
Stephen Curry signed a roster of 28 points and 6 assists, although the game’s top scorer was Kelly Oubre Jr. The forward surprised everyone and scored 40 points, while Juan Toscano did his thing with 14. On the other hand, Luka Doncic added 27 points and was not even close to double-double.
