Ricardo Ciciliano died on September 17, at the age of 43, a victim of pneumonia.
In football he is remembered for being champion with Tolima and Cali, and for his time in Millonarios, Junior, Once Caldas, Pasto, Quindío, Bucaramanga and Huila, in addition to his career in the Colombian National Team.
In his family, the memory remains alive and his house is almost as he left it, more than four months later.
This is how his widow, Alexandra Herrera, told him, in a conversation with Golcaracol.com, that the pain, despite the passage of days, is still there.
“That void left by Ricardo will never be filled, ever. It has been difficult, for example, to wake up at dawn and see the void of my husband in bed. That is the most tremendous thing there is. The deepest pain that exists “, said.
“It has cost me a lot to get his clothes out of the closet. His things, his sports outfits, I have everything just as Ricardo left it in our house. His spirit accompanies us daily,” he added.
About her children, Alexandra Herrera commented: “Ricardo Manuel, my eldest son, is just like his dad, he dresses the same, leaves his shoes lying everywhere, he has his temperament, his smile. And Massimo Alessandro has the same tickets, but many also say that he is just like his grandfather, some call him ‘Don Ricardo’ “.
