The Bayern Munich’s journey, in the Club World Cup, did not start on the right foot. Reigning Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League champions had a delay, of more than seven hours, in the flight that took them to Doha, Qatar, venue of the tournament, at club level, which crowns the world champion.
After their 0-1 victory on matchday 20 of the Bundesliga against Hertha Berlin, the Bavarian team was preparing to travel to the Asian country; Nevertheless, the plane that would take them was not ready for takeoff and the club was forced to delay the flight.
The heavy snow in the German capital prevented the take-off process from taking place at the appropriate time; this was expressed by the airline Qatar Airlines. The plane was able to leave seven later than planned, they made a stopover in Munich to change the crew team and, finally, they managed to reach Qatar.
Bayern Munich will debut next Monday, February 8, in the semi-final of the tournament against the Egyptian team Al-Ahly Sporting Club; the meeting will be at 12:00 hours, in the center of the Mexican Republic. In case of advancing, they would be contesting the final against the winner of Tigres de Monterrey or Palmeiras, next Thursday, February 11.
