This Wednesday, February 10, the second preparation module will start in the city of Valencia for the men’s Under 20 national team, under the command of DT Martín Carrillo. This was reported this Monday by the Venezuelan Football Federation in an official statement through its website.
The last time that the national youth team concentrated was in December, where the athletes developed technical work with the ball and soccer blocks, which helped coach Vinotinto measure the development of his summoned players.
On this occasion, Martín Carrillo summoned 46 players, of which 12 are 2003 categories. The aforementioned work module will be carried out from Wednesday 10 until Saturday 20 February, days in which the Caracas strategist will work together with his coaching staff to prepare footballers tactically.
“In this module we are going to work a lot on the tactical part, so that the players can get a clear idea of what is being sought within the national team,” said Carrillo.
Considering that in recent weeks the First Division clubs of Venezuelan professional football began their pre-season process, the coaching staff of the youth national team will go hand in hand with the physical trainers of each club to take the players in the most suitable way to thus avoid possible injuries.
“Most of the teams are applying loads to the players, so we have to work according to how each club is preparing so as not to return the players in a bad physical shape,” he said.
Likewise, Carrillo emphasized that he will focus throughout the 10 days of work, on the tactical drawing of the team on the field and the identity that the coach wants to mark the national team.
“The idea is to work hand in hand with the physical trainers of the tournament, and then we continue along that same line, but giving them the tactical idea that the national team wants to give and implementing our idea of the game,” he concluded.
