At Tottenham they are disappointed with Gareth Bale. His poor performance and his attitude are not liking in the London club. Jose Mourinho, technical spurHe hardly has him and when he plays he does not offer what was expected of the forward. The transfer of the Welshman was seen as a great opportunity but now they think that the loan is being too expensive for them.
In England the buzz goes on about Gareth Bale. The Welsh forward does not finish performing and still does not have the confidence of his coach, José Mourinho. In the last game of the Spurs before him Chelsea, the Portuguese left Cardyff’s on the bench the entire match despite the fact that he sent him to warm up since his team needed to overcome the 0-1 that had been on the scoreboard from the first half hour of play.
In the Premier League, Bale barely accumulates more than 200 minutes of play and neither his attitude nor his performance are liking in London. The possibility of having him through a loan from Real Madrid last summer was seen as too tempting an opportunity to miss, but now they are beginning to regret it. The Spur club has assumed close to half of its card, too high a cost for a player who is spending more time in the stands than on the pitch.
Mourinho does not hide his discontent. He could be seen uncomfortable at the last press conference when he was questioned about Bale’s substitution in the momentous match against Chelsea. “Good question, but I don’t think you deserve an answer,” he told a journalist. He later claimed to be doing his “best”, as did Gareth Bale.
No confidence in Bale
Tottenham does not have a good time after three consecutive defeats in the Premier League. Of the last ten games in the English League, only two ended with victory for José Mourinho’s men, which has made them far from the Champions League places. The non-presence of Spurs in Europe, next season would greatly condition the club’s project and even leave Setúbal’s on the wire.
It was expected that in London Bale would regain the spark and once again be a key piece in the attack, but it seems that the Welshman continues with the same wave as in his last stage in the white team. Tottenham need to stop the free fall in which they find themselves and still have hope that in the coming weeks the Welshman will join the cause, although they have already decided that they do not want to count on him beyond the summer and so they have made known to Real Madrid.
