The team of Tigers from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) is ready to debut in its first Club World Cup against Ulsan Hyundai of South Korea. The game will be next Thursday, February 4 at 08:00 hours in central Mexico at the Al Rayyan Stadium de Qatar. The first match of the Mexican team will be broadcast on Fox Sports.
The team led by Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti qualified for his first Club World Cup after being crowned in the CONCACAF Champions League, which became his first international title.
The San Nicolás de La Garza team played its match corresponding to matchday 4 of the Guard1anes 2021 League MX tournament, where they tied one goal against Necaxa. Later he made the trip to Qatar for the Club World Cup.

For his part, Ulsan Hyundai made it to the World Cup by being crowned champion of the Asian Champions League in December. This contest was the last that the Korean team played, so the match against Tigres will be the first they play in 2021.
The winner of the match will be measured next Sunday, February 7, against Palmeiras from Brazil, who recently met he crowned the Copa Libertadores by beating Santos with a single goal.
Frenchman André Pierre Gignac and Paraguayan Carlos González, scorers for the felines, have recovered from their injuries and are ready to make their debut in the competition.
“André is already one hundred percent. Carlos trained today with the physical trainer, that means that he evolved from his injury. He has not played football, but he will be available for when they need him ”, the team president, Alejandro Rodríguez, explained at a press conference in Doha.

Rodríguez also recognized the experience in the event that the Mexicans qualify for the semifinal against Palmeiras, but emphasized that they must defeat Ulsan Hyundai.
“Let’s not anticipate the Palmeiras, the Ulsan is a compact team, the Koreans are incisive, resistant and nobody is going to give us anything”, He clarified.
Despite comments that the Tigres did not represent Mexico from the players, Nahuel Guzmán and Guido Pizarro, the president spoke about it.
