The president of Boca Juniors, Jorge Amor Ameal, tested positive for coronavirus and remains isolated at home in good health, the La Ribera club reported in a statement posted on its page.
“Boca Juniors informs that the president of the institution, Jorge Amor Ameal, after having felt more tired than usual in the last 24 hours and, given the current epidemiological situation, a PCR swab was carried out, the result of which was positive,” said the club .
“He was immediately subjected to isolation and the rigorous protocols for these cases. He is in good health and will continue with the pertinent controls,” he added.

Days ago, the president of Boca had been meeting with two other club leaders who were later diagnosed with Covid-19, so it is suspected that in that meeting he could have contracted the virus.
