Santa Fe does not want to move away from the top lot in the League and this Sunday it achieved an important victory in Montería, where it defeated 0-1 a Jaguares that had started the championship well.
The team led by Hárold Rivera went from less to more. In the first half it cost him, partly because of the temperature, partly because of the demands of a rival who had been doing things well.

As has become customary since Rivera has been on the cardinal bench, Santa Fe had good ball possession, but the three players from the second line of midfielders, Johan Caballero, Kelvin Osorio and Jhon Arias, could not get together properly and the team it was repeated in throwing centers looking for Jorge Luis Ramos.
Rivera realized that and moved the team in the intermission, with the entry of Jhon Velásquez by Caballero, and thus, Santa Fe gained offensive weight. And in that second row, with the help of Daniel Giraldo, the goal was born, at 13 minutes, in a beautiful play by Osorio, who made a diagonal to receive the pass from behind and touch back, so that Arias finished from the edge of the area, an action in which goalkeeper José Luis Chunga could be seen to be somewhat compromised. However, the ball hit him a little earlier and that changed the play.
With the advantage in his favor, Santa Fe began to play much better, and even had a second goal, a shot by Daniel Giraldo from outside the area after a pass from Luis Manuel Seijas. However, Sherman Cárdenas was ahead on the previous play and the goal did not go up.

That annulled goal was in minute 85. The decision of the referee Wílmar Roldán, with the help of the VAR, gave Jaguares a second wind, who from that moment had 12 minutes, counting the replacement, to seek the tie. But the momentum did not reach him and thus, he lost the option of getting a point that would have extended his advantage over Boyacá Chicó and Pereira in the relegation zone.
On the other hand, Santa Fe does not detach from the tip. He reached nine points, six of them achieved as a visitor, and now he will return to El Campin to try to continue increasing the second best streak without losing at home in its history.
