Alert on international soccer oversight launched by the Secretariat of Sport, Recreation and Culture | Football24 News English

The Secretary of Sport, Recreation and Culture of Risaralda, Luis Eduardo Duque Sanz, expressed the concern of Governor Victor Manuel Tamayo Vargas and warned at a press conference about the proliferation of international soccer oversight bodies without any support from the clubs they claim to represent.

“They are not only attacking the illusions of children and young people who seek in this sport an opportunity for personal progress, but they are also compromising the economic patrimony of their families who seek to support their children. The dreams of these young footballers are turning into tourist outings ”, the Secretary of Sport, Recreation and Culture, Luis Eduardo Duque Sanz, said at a press conference”.

The official added that “Governor Victor Manuel Tamayo Vargas has been concerned about the recent reported cases of deception and, resorting to our social responsibility, we have decided to launch this alert because cases such as the one that happened with the boy from Guática and others have hurt us a lot. ”.

It is clear that FIFA has an express prohibition that minors under 18 years of age go to play in other countries unless rigorous provisions established for that purpose are met.

According to Duque Sanz, the doors were opened to the young man from Guática at Deportivo Pereira and they will be helped to stay in the city for the time required for his football assessment.

One of the testimonies about these oversight was offered at the press conference promoted by the Government of Risaralda through its Secretary of Sports, Recreation and Culture in association with the Circle of Sports Communicators and Journalists -Acord Risaralda- by Jenny Cardona, mother of one of the young footballers who appeared at the supposed call:

“Fortunately, indigenous malice saved us but emotionally it affected my son’s illusion to be summoned to an important club, resulting in a lie. Economically, all the money they ask for is a terrifying thing, but what worried us the most was their affectation when knowing they were cheated.

I became suspicious because that had not had an open call in the press and they restricted us to communication to two telephone numbers. That seemed strange to me, besides that there were no real tests as they should be, they were put to play soccer on a field.

Germán Steven Giraldo, one of the young people who participated in an alleged oversight for which the name of the San Lorenzo de Almagro club was used, said:

“I feel like they played one. We are many young people who want to be footballers. I feel bad, very hurt, it was a hope for me and I believed it was an opportunity. When a club loves you they are not going to charge you a world of money and this is what they were asking us to do ”.

The Circle of Communicators and Sports Journalists of Risaralda, chaired by Marino Sánchez Martínez, joined this initiative of the Government for responsibility in sports and will accompany in the task of carrying out a campaign to prevent more families and young people from falling into deception.

“We want to make this commitment to the campaign of the Government and the Sports Department to report to protect parents who are getting into debt for giving their children a chance, even mortgaging their assets. We want to join this prevention campaign with all the media ”.
