Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Feb 5 (EFE) .- Herbalife Gran Canaria’s coach, Porfi Fisac, highlighted the need for his team this Saturday to be “focused on playing good defensive basketball” against BAXI Manresa.
“Manresa is a team with all the letters that plays very united and in which everyone is always capable of adding,” Fisac said this Friday in a statement from CB Gran Canaria, in which he recalled that his team needs, like rest, play “together, united and with the maximum effort”.
In this sense, the Segovian coach believes that the Gran Canaria rival this Saturday is “an example” for his team, “wanting to play that way and to that extent.”
Asked about the losses in the Catalan team, Fisac recalled that “any loss is important for any team” but considers that it will not be “such a big problem”, since they have not suffered so many.
At BAXI Manresa “the word ‘team’ is very clear”, he added to, on the other hand, acknowledge that his own team had “a slump with the arrival of the two new players”.
However, “now the group is united again with quite clear ideas” because they have had the opportunity to train well and together for several days and, when this happens, “it is another” group.
In addition, the Manresa “play with a lot of rhythm” and are “one of the best teams in defensive rebound, in assists,” said the ‘Granca’ coach to insist that his team has to play “a good defensive basketball, with the clear ideas ”if you want to have any options this Saturday.
The meeting between Herbalife Gran Canaria and BAXI Manresa, framed in matchday 23 of the Endesa League, will be held this Saturday, February 6 at 5:00 p.m. Canary Islands time at the Gran Canaria Arena. EFE
