Deportivo Cali maintained the leadership of the 2021 League with 13 points by defeating Patriotas Boyacá 0-1 this Sunday on the fifth date of the contest, at La Independencia Stadium, in Tunja, where goalkeeper Carlos Mosquera became the most outstanding man .
With the imminent departure of Agustín Palavecino, for whom the dialogues to transfer him to River Plate are well advanced and for that reason he was not in the capital of Boyacá, coach Alfredo Arias knows that he must be more frontal, with direct and less elaborate play, more in a terrain that does not contribute to the short touch. But since it has been repetitive, it defines much less than it generates.

Vásquez put his team ahead in the 13th minute, receiving a cross from the left by Darwin Andrade, hooked Yonatan Murillo and made it 0-1 with his left foot. Marco Pérez was also important to drag the mark of the red defenders.
Cali came out in the complement to continue with the dominance over Patriotas and with Pérez he was close to the second, but goalkeeper Mosquera neutralized the Chocoano’s shot at 9 minutes.
The host team advanced their lines and laid the visitor back in their sector, gaining spaces that were important. Aladesanmi tried again at 30 with a creeping shot and the ball whistled past the right post.
Almost instantly, Vasquez finished off with his left foot and saved Mosquera, the rebound was taken by Angelo, he eluded the goalkeeper, but incredibly he sent the ball over the top.
The good moment of Patriotas forced Arias to take precautions and send Andrés Balanta for Andrés Arroyo, who did not play well, and Michell Ramos for Velasco.
Although he ended up in his defensive sector, Cali achieved the same result as last date against Boyacá Chicó and remains at the top of the table.
