The hockey coordinator of the Sarmiento club spoke with THE SPORTS about the Nocturno championship and the possibility of playing a competition with other clubs in the area: “It was a very difficult year for all disciplines. We tried to accommodate ourselves to what they allowed us and to comply with all the rules. We were able to advance with training but we have a great obstacle which is, at the level of the Argentine Confederation and the Federation of Buenos Aires, they do not enable us to play games, not even friendlies. We got a permit and with extreme sanitary measures we are playing the Mamis tournament and another Mixed tournament under the seven modality. We are releasing the lights so for us, in Sarmiento’s hockey, it is something incredible ”.
NIGHT TOURNAMENT
“They cannot play under 20 years of age and in the mixed team there can only be two men on the court, the difference in speed with women exists. The intention is to have a good time, play after a year without any participation. It is a party to be able to throw the ball and be able to play. Looking at the lighting of the field excites you, in March of last year we did not know what to do and today we are enjoying this, it is a positive balance for having maintained the structure, the teachers, we made a great effort and that the same teachers are there for us. very important because it is our identity, the night tournament is organized by them ”.
OBJECTIVES
“Sarmiento’s hockey field has professional lighting. That remains for the club for many years. Our goal is to double or triple the number of players, tell them that our idea is to make an inclusive hockey, a team sport. For us it is very important that the boys are in the club. Today I see the older girls who are still in the club, they go and help the little ones. If they do not have the economic tools, we are going to help all those who want to join ”.
TOURNAMENTS
“We cannot continue without playing. The municipalities enable us and we plan at the Center Association level to organize a championship with all the teams of our League that can participate and others in the area, Miuras for example, Chacabuco, Salto. Do an unofficial tournament with a header in Junín where there are 3 synthetic grass pitches. The idea is to start in February and get permission to play with 11 players ”.
