James Rodríguez gave an interview to Everton FC and Telemundo Deportes in which he spoke about his current situation in England and the relationship he has with Yerry Mina and Carlo Ancelotti, coach who is directing it for the third time after the stages at Real Madrid (2014/15) and Bayern Munich (2017).
The Colombian midfielder said he has a great connection with Mina and who advises him every day to be better. The defender had already mentioned a week ago that he turned to James to learn from his professionalism, both on and off the field of play.
“With Yerry the relationship is excellent, he spoke a lot with him. I also advise him on many things, he is a boy who wants to learn. It’s very curious, he always asks ‘what do I do, how do you do this’. I also want to learn, I am curious as to what I do. That’s what I see of him, that he wants to learn new things. We are here to help each other, “James said.
Regarding Ancelotti, Everton’s ’19’ commented that he was key to his signing, He is a coach he knew and who had always wanted him for his teams, which is why he decided on the Premier League adventure. James sees him as a father.
“When I thought of coming, I thought of him. He is a coach I have known for many years, he is a coach who knows how to fall for his player and the people he has with him. I have a fantastic relationship, like father to son“said the 29-year-old Colombian.

The midfielder was not in Everton’s victory against Leeds United last Wednesday, he stayed the 90 minutes on the bench. His return to the title would take place this Saturday, February 6 against Manchester United at Old Trafford (3:00 pm, Colombian time).
